Post-Birthday Trip

My parents signed us up for a One-day road trip to Malaysia along with the club! Thankful for the day out with the folks!! ;)

Woke up as early as 530 & had to be down at the meeting venue by 620! The bus was delayed & our bus (8th) was the last of the last!!! The itinerary went on for the day like this;

o Breakfast (Kampong) & Mushroom "exhibition"
o JPO- Johor Premium Outlets
o Lunch (Yacht Restaurant)
o Cocca Chocolate Gallery
o Jusco
o Dinner (Seafood)

They brought us to a Malay Kampong where they prepared their home-cooked Nasi Lemak for us! It was an experience definitely, especially when you don't get this sort of environment anymore! Except that it was pretty muddy & attracted many houseflies!

One reason why my parents decided to sign up for this trip is to visit the JPO! My dad hasn't been there before so we decided to go down! We weren't given much time to shop there, hope that I can get back there for the 3rd visit soon!!;)

Dinner @ Seaside

Dinner was settled at Permas Seafood Village. If I remembered correctly, my uncle once tried to bring us there for dinner but it was so packed so we couldn't even find a parking lot there! Fortunate that this time round the guide brought us there!

That marks the end of my fulfilling family of three trip for the day! Looking forward to more overseas trips this year with the folks!! ;)

I turn 19! (Part III)

20th May

Met up with Gen for our dinner meetup with Val at night! The day didn't start off well :(

#1 I dropped my plate of fries when I went for lunch with Gen. I went back to order another one then the boss decided to give it to me for free *so lucky*

#2 Went home again to change my flats because it didn't match my outfit.

#3 Wore the new chiffon top I bought & I..... regretted it.

It went all well after that!! Headed to town, spent some time around & then went down to Clark Quay to meet Val! We dined at Bella Pizza, as suggested by Gen (TQ)! The ambiance was good!

We ordered their mains signature pizza as well as truffle pasta! We were afraid that the portion might be too big so we settled on two first! We also had their appetizer- garlic bread.

Ironladychef did a blog post on this before, but we do not have similar sentiments! In my humble opinion, the food wasn't really up to my taste, the pizza was slightly overly-moist & the pasta was just average, kind of bland. Probably we did not order the best choice available, but I'll not know if I'll go back again! The girls also gave me a lava cake which was my first time savoring one!

I turn 19! (Part II)

19th May

My 19th on the 19th!! :)

 
Started off the day with Aloy being the one to wish me first<3 Morning was so good I wish I could spend every morning like that :(

Met up with Faz & she brought me to a place I've never been before!! It's such a cozy and western area, I fell in love with it!!! But the weather was so warm I could barely absorb the surroundings!

She brought me down to this all-day breakfast (my 3rd attempt) and apparently it was filled with reservations so we were left with two tables outside the place >:[] Nonetheless it was pleasant due to the windy weather!!

I settled on Eggs Benedict with Ham & her Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon! I had Birthday Tea whereas she had English Breakfast Tea. The tea portion was generous I had cup after cup! The benedict was equally as yummy :) Wouldn't mind going back for their reasonable price once again, IF the weather can do a little more mercy.

Intricate design, absolutely worth for money!! $5-9 for this I guess?

We sat and catch up for around 2hours for so! It is definitely a pleasant environment except that the table arrangement against the weaved chair wasn't matched :( The table should be height higher! There was some food-tasting session so more and more people were coming in. We decided to leave & Faz brought me to another cafe!

Looked really weird because of the windy + humid weather!! Anw decked in my last min bday dress!

This girl was so sweet! She wanted to do a cake surprise for me and it was her plan B because plan A at the restaurant didn't work! Nonetheless, thank you so much cherry!!!!<3<3

Had a wild of afternoon with the bestie!! Proceeded to meet my sister for the annual family birthday dinner!! We bought sushi home & mom cooked spaghetti for the family so yummy! I was pretty full and we were worried a cake would be too much for the family... so I attempted my first mini fruit tarts for the birthday HAHAH
