Aloysius's 26th Birthday (Part I)

I find planning for birthdays a joy instead of a chore. It may get a little tough during the planning phase, but the joy comes when at the end of the day, you look back at the outcome of what you've been planning, it's definitely worth it ;)

The first trick of this all, would be to book him first! I accomplished this a month in advance ;) Afterwhich the plan was whether to have it personal or with a bunch of friends! I struggled with this for a bit... Then I decided to do a surprise dinner with our classmates. The icing on the cupcake was having Gerrard's presence!! He barely attends our class gatherings so I'm uber grateful he finally graced one of the event, especially something I've planned!

Next was deciding on the venue. I picked Fullhouse Cafe, situated at Rendezvous Hotel. I've seen and heard all sorts of raves regarding the cafe! The concept and interior design of the cafe was what attracted me to finalize on it. I made a reservation of 20 Pax on Thursday, for dinner on Friday! Thankfully the manager was kind enough to accommodate my last minute request (phew). Similarly to last year, I lied, yet again but halfway through it got exposed. The last straw was when I muffled to the receptionist the reservation code & he replied "Table for 20 Pax right?" I failed, yet again. (Pouts in disguise)

Before he was aware of the surprise I had in line for him ;)

Unexpectedly, we were the earliest to arrive!! (Which was unplanned) We spent our free-time idling around... anxiously waiting for his surprise to appear. It was definitely a hilarious bittersweet moment. Due to our large group, we were seated at the function room, covered up with four walls, a pity that we could not immerse our dining in the beautifully decorated space. The food variety was limited but I managed to order a dish which I thought was one of the tastiest ;) Most of us happened to order the same dish too!
Balloons by Majesta & Nic!
Wok-Sear Chicken Chop ;)

After dinner, Majesta & I managed to take some time to explore the concept room that was nearest to us! I thought that the concept was heading to Victorian Style. The class started to come in and we decided to do group shots!

Thank you & thank you to each and every one of you again, for being so spontaneous despite the last minute notice! And thank you, for allowing me to be part of your birthday for third year, planning it for the 3rd time with the class ;)
