Baking!

"Baking cookies is comforting, and cookies are the sweetest little bit of comfort food. They are very bite-sized and personal."

Met up with Majesta & Xiuqi for grocery shopping for our baking as well as brunch! Settled brunch at Swiss Bake & I opted for the corner low-bench seats!! Love the sereneness though it was discomforting for my friends though we had to bend in order to dine!

Love the glass setup!
Mine with all time fav potatoes & the butter, agreed by xiuqi tastes great too ;)

There's something about low-benches that captivates me ;) Overall it was a good dining experience but it felt like dejavu because I think I've dined at Swiss before (else in china). I would prefer a more meaty meal though ;) After the hearty meal we headed to Majesta's house just few blocks away! Poor xiuqi slipped & fell down before meeting us so she was limping pretty badly!! Furthermore the route to Majesta's block was like going up a hill!

Xiuqi wanted to bake cookies, for the sake of doing her SNSD miniatures, so that was what we intended to bake! Majesta did the first few batches before so she has had an experience with working out with the ingredients! Mixed in adequate flour, sugar, vanilla essence, eggs!

Snapshot of the ingredients & tools!
Love squeezing doughs!!
Icing ;)

My rough story line <3

In the midst of our baking, we caught a horror movie, The Haunting in Connecticut!! I managed to source for it hehe. It's pretty interesting to watch, aired few years back in 2009! The story plot is rather refreshing for myself ;) It's about a boy who was diagnosed with an illness & the family had to shift to a rented apartment for the sake of the boy's convenience! Eventually they found out that the house was used as a funeral parlour/spiriting calling centre of interest. I didn't managed to divert my full attention onto my show (since we were in the midst of baking) but nonetheless it's a movie worth catching ;)

We also decided to prepare a simple affair for dinner!! Bought my fav tortilla<3 for our meal! Matched with Salsa which is marvelous so goooood to go with chips!! We made used of NTUC's Onion Tortilla (it comes in servings of 5), Old El Paso spread, Ham, Cheese, Chicken Sausage & cabbage for our main!!

Thank you for the invitation & hospitality you constantly shower upon us whenever we head over, Majesta<3
